Of all the “wills,” hope is the most delicate. Tender and gentle, like a tiny child in a cradle, it nevertheless heralds self-sovereignty. I can dare to choose hope, even if it is really difficult; I can step onto the ground where new life and beginnings become possible. Hope is a quiet power—it is not like Michael’s sword, and yet it still belongs to the world of the future.
