Friedrich Glasl studied politics, psychology and philosophy. In 1983 he habilitated on organizational development and conflict research. Glasl worked for 18 years at the Dutch Institute for Organizational Development (NPI) and co-founded the organizational development network Trigon. He is active in peace work worldwide. His nine-stage model for conflict escalation and resolution is used worldwide.
